The provisional calendar for the 2019 BRDC British F3 Championship has been announced, with the series again featuring eight rounds comprising 24 races.
Reaffirming its status as the UK’s premier single-seater category, BRDC British F3 will continue its co-headline billing with the British GT Championship at the majority of events and retain the format of qualifying and the opening race on the first day of each meeting, and two further contests on the second day.
The 2019 season will commence over the Easter weekend at Oulton Park (20 and 22 April), and concludes at Donington Park on 14-15 September, with two visits to the East Midlands circuit planned in 2019.
Following the season opener, the series will head to Snetterton on 18-19 May and a first visit to the Silverstone GP circuit on 8-9 June, before ending the first half of the season at Donington on 22-23 June.
The series will then head to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium for the fourth year in succession on 20-21 July, before a trip to the Brands Hatch GP circuit (3-4 August) and a return to Silverstone on 17-18 August, before the final round at Donington Park where the champion will be crowned.
Jonathan Palmer, Chief Executive of championship organiser MSV, commented: “We’re pleased to announce our calendar for 2019, which again features some of the best circuits in Europe and maintains our successful partnership with SRO and the British GT Championship.
“As a proven and dependable series offering superb value for money and unrivalled technical equality, we expect the BRDC British F3 Championship to be extremely strong in 2019. Teams are reporting very high interest levels from drivers and many have already started their winter testing programmes.”
