As well as extending his championship lead with a double win at Spa Francorchamps, Carlin's Enaam Ahmed also took control of the Jack Cavill Pole Position Cup, with two front of the grid starting positions during the course of the weekend, elevating his overall total to four.
Ahmed secured his first qualifying pole of the season ahead of race one on Friday, after an enthralling and close battle for the position with title rivals Toby Sowery and Ben Hingeley, Ahmed eventually taking pole by just 0.036s.
With the fastest race lap of the weekend, set in Saturday morning's race two, Ahmed claimed his third fastest lap pole of the season for race three, which he duly converted into his eighth victory of the year. With cash prizes on offer for pole positions for races one and three, Ahmed secured £300 and a brace of trophies during the Spa weekend, and has now earned £600 so far this year.
His team mate James Pull was the other driver to start from pole position during the event, thanks to his eighth place finish in race one. Pull now has two pole positions this year, level with Toby Sowery.
The driver with the most pole positions throughout the year secures an additional £1,000 prize and a trophy, presented by Jack Cavill's son, John, at the season finale at Donington Park in September.
