Douglas Motorsport's Max Defourny will return to the BRDC British F3 Championship at the Donington Park rounds on 22-23 September.
The Belgian made his series debut at his home round at Spa Francorchamps and immediately demonstrated his pace, qualifying sixth on the grid and just a couple of tenths away from pole, despite only driving the car for the first time in the hours before qualifying.
His weekend came to a premature end though, with a big shunt at Raidillon on the second lap of the first race ruling him out of the rest of the weekend with his car damaged beyond immediate repair. With the car back in action, he's looking forward to getting back out on track.
"I'm very excited to be back for Donington," the 2016 Formula Renault NEC runner-up commented. "I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do to help the team, and we've been working on the car in testing at Silverstone to see how we can improve the car and do the best for the team."
The Donington weekend will be the first time he's driven at the Leicestershire circuit, and he's relishing the challenge of learning the circuit. "I've not driven at Donington before, so I'm looking forward to seeing how things go there and how the track is. I hear it's quite a fun track so I'm looking forward to it."
Recent testing action at Silverstone has allowed him to get more time behind the wheel of the BRDC British F3 car, and he admits it is car he enjoys. "There's a few different things on this car compared to others that I've driven before, and some nice features. It's a nice car, stabilised between the front and rear and it's nice to drive."
