Malaysian driver Nazim Azman is looking forward to his British F3 debut at Oulton Park, and has enjoyed a productive pre-season testing campaign with Chris Dittmann Racing.
The 17-year-old graduates to British F3 with a strong background in several Formula 4 categories, and is anticipating some exciting racing in the UK this year.
“I am greatly looking forward to the BRDC British F3 Championship this season,” he commented. “I think the grid if very good and there will be some exciting racing this year.”
A busy per-season testing schedule means he’s got to grips with both the step up in machinery and his new team, and his confidence is growing.
“With every test day we are getting quicker and quicker, so hopefully with the three test days at Oulton Park before the race we can get some good results.”
Azman benefits from a management team including former McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner Matt Parry, and former BRDC F4 contender Struan Moore, and is confident their wealth of experience can further aid his progress this season.
“I think Peak Performance Management has a great package with all the right resources to help me succeed this year. Matt and Struan bring a lot to the table and I think they have great knowledge to offer and learn from.
Azman is keeping a lid on expectations ahead of the first round of the year, but is hopeful of a strong season.
“Until the Oulton test has been where all the drivers are present, I don’t want to set any targets but I believe we can definitely achieve a good result for round one and the championship.”
