Driven, The Billy Monger Story, a documentary focusing on Billy Monger's return to racing this season in the BRDC British F3 Championship, is now available to view on BBC Three, and will also be broadcast on BBC Two tonight (Monday) at 9pm.
The one hour programme goes behind the scenes with Billy and his family, as he begins his recovery from injuries sustained in an F4 crash in 2017, overturns an FIA ruling on disabled drivers racing in single seaters, and then documents his return to single seater action, with testing in the specially adapted Tatuus-Cosworth BRDC British F3 car, before his triumphant return to racing action at Oulton Park.
A film crew from Oxford Scientific Films was with Billy and his Carlin team throughout most of the season, filming up-to-now unseen material as the British driver adapted to his new controls and made a successful return to the racing cockpit, and re-writing the motorsport rule books at the same time!
