Chris Dittmann Racing’s Kieran Vernon topped the timings in last night’s test before the penultimate round of the British F3 iRacing Championship at Brands Hatch this Sunday (7 June).
Vernon currently sits 13th in the standings and will be looking to impress this weekend and add to the team’s points tally as they battle with Lanan Racing for the top spot in the team championship. JHR Developments’ Carter Williams was just nine hundredths of a second behind Vernon, having delivered some strong performances so far to sit ninth with two rounds remaining.
Lanan’s Bart Horsten – currently third in the championship - and Hillspeed’s Oliver Clarke were the only other drivers to record times in the 1:15s bracket, with Douglas Motorsport’s latest recruit Callan O’Keeffe close behind. The championship leader, Chris Dittman Racing’s Nico Varrone, was eighth fastest.
Thirteen-year-old Emmo Fittipaldi Jr, the son of F1 legend Emerson Fittipaldi, laid down a commendable 1:16.20s in his first foray into the British F3 iRacing Championship. The young kart racer is this week’s guest driver alongside four-time British GT winner Jonny Adam.
