Hillspeed’s Oliver Clarke topped the timesheets in the final pre-event British F3 iRacing Championship test session of the season ahead of the deciding round at Donington Park on Sunday (14 June).
Clarke, who currently sets in the championship top-ten, lapped the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit in 1m21.016s to narrowly edge out Chris Dittmann Racing’s Kieran Vernon by just over a tenth-of-a-second. Douglas Motorsport’s Ulysse De Pauw, who head into this weekend’s action with a mathematical chance of claiming the title was third fastest.
Things are shaping up nicely ahead of the weekend’s two races, with the quickest 11 drivers from testing all lapping faster than 1m22s.
Nico Varrone leads the standings for Chris Dittmann Racing from Lanan Racing’s Piers Prior ahead of the Douglas Motorsport duo of Harrison Scott and De Pauw. Incidentally, it’s those three teams leading the charge in the team championship too, with Lanan at the top.
