Here’s how the British F3 iRacing Championship standings look as we head towards the second round at Belgium’s Spa Francorchamps circuit this Sunday (24 May) with another packed grid of current and former F3 drivers.
Chris Dittmann Racing’s Nico Varrone gave a commanding performance in the opener at Oulton Park, leading from lights to flag in race one and tearing through the pack in the reverse-grid second race to finish fourth after starting at the back of the 27-car grid.
A strong race one finish for Varrone’s stablemate Kieran Vernon added to the team points, catapulting Dittmann to the top of the table with 86 points. Lanan Racing sit 25 points behind, helped by two top-six finishes for Piers Prior.
Other notable performances included a sixth-place finish for Hillspeed’s 17-year-old new recruit Oliver Clarke in race one, a fifth for 2015 BRDC F4 Champion Will Palmer racing as an independent, two top-six finishes for Fortec Motorsports’ Johnathan Hoggard and a race two win for Double R Racing’s Louis Foster.
