Two impressive drives at (virtual) Silverstone last night from Chris Dittmann Racing’s Nico Varrone put him back at the top of the standings at the midway point of the British F3 iRacing Championship – but another strong performance from Lanan Racing’s Piers Prior means he’s just 13 points adrift with two rounds remaining.
Lanan’s Bart Horsten moves up to third – his results further boosting the team points – and Douglas Motorsport’s Harrison Scott put in a sterling performance with a broken wrist to jump to fourth in the standings, with stablemate Ulysse de Paul close behind him in fifth.
A second-place finish in race one sees Fortec Motorsports' Johnathan Hoggard hang on to the final spot in the top six, with Thomas Maxwell the highest-ranking independent driver in seventh.
Lanan Racing hold on to the lead in the team championship, but just 40 points separate the top three so there’s all to race for as we head to Ken't historic Brands Hatch circuit this Sunday (7 June) for round four of the five-round series.
