Frederick Lubin will graduate to the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship for 2021 with Arden Motorsport.
Lubin, already a familiar face at the team after a successful maiden season in British Formula 4, becomes the team's first confirmed driver. The final line-up will be confirmed in due course.
Lubin is a graduate of the Arden-affiliated Young Racing Driver Academy (YRDA), and switched to single-seaters in 2020 with six Rookie Cup wins in 2020 on his way to second in class in the standings.
The Banbury-based team recently announced their expansion into the UK's premier tier of single seater racing and has recently begun a winter testing programme.
Garry Horner, Team Principal said: "Everybody at Arden Motorsport is delighted to extend our partnership with Frederick into the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship next year. He's a popular figure with everybody at the team, and the results he brought home last year speak volumes about his development as a driver.
"It's now time for a new challenge, and one the team is looking forward to greatly as we expand into British F3. Winter testing so far has been very positive, and there's definitely a good atmosphere building ahead of the new year. We look forward to unveiling Frederick's team-mates for next season in due course and continuing the countdown to our debut in the series at Oulton Park in Easter."
Frederick Lubin said: "I'm really excited to announce the next step in my single seater journey with Arden - the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship. We enjoyed a really positive, successful season together in British F4 in 2020, and I'm really looking forward to building on that development in the year ahead. The car itself is fantastic, and I'm already feeling very comfortable with the environment we've built up within the team for next season. The aim now is to continue that progress over the winter and be ready to hit the ground running in mine - and the teams - debut in April."
